I've been debating what to do, now that I'm back and I'm considering to try a nomadic lifestyle, which is something I've never done before apart from WH hunting in a sb.
So, my plan is to find 2 good tengu loadouts; One for exploration and one for DED's, once i find them. I've browsed for these and have found some results but most are outdated or cost 1. So, any Tengu loadout suggestions for DED? The issue I have with the tengu and using mobile depots is that it doesn't leave you alot of missiles. You should fit three medium neuts on your exploration Tengu for when not if you get tackled.
Besides that, I worry you're putting all your eggs in one basket. Don't fly what you can't afford to lose. Tengus are in theory uncatchable, but when I actively did black ops, I often killed several Tengus a day.
Unless you have a lot of experience, I suggest you fly something cheap like an Astero for a month running relic, data and low end DEDs to learn the mechanics of everything and how not to lose your shiny. If you want to run other faction's sites, you'll need another refit. You're right, maybe I am putting all my eggs in 1 basket, even though I do have disposable income.
Here is the thing about Tengus, they can be built to be great at a number of different jobs, but you have a limited cargo capacity, so unless you are just staying in a local area, working a single type of rats or Sansha and BR if you know how to run the different sitesyou can't carry everything. I only ever used a tengu with a scanning alt, so I didn't have to carry probes, but even then the cargo capacity of a tengu is not that large considering the rate at which it spits out HAMs.
Now, you made a great choice in a Yurt, because they are a bitch to scan down with anything less than perfect scanning skills. But if you need to spend a minute at the depot swapping stuff in and out to manage your cargo, it will only be a matter of time before you get caught at the depot, trying to refit a cloak.
I would suggest you put more thought into what you are planning on doing, and refine your question. Figure out what space you will be flying in, what rats you will be fighting, and your own personal level of risk, then you can build an optimal fit. For example, when ever I was running sites in low sec, I valued faster completion times above anything else.
In my mind, less time in the site equals less risk of getting caught or pushed off by a gang. Bling goes a long way in that regard, but I also have a pretty high risk tolerance level. Finally, you don't need a tractor unit.
Not only does it waste a huge chunk of your cargo capacity, but it is largely useless. There are very few items worth picking up that are not overseers in DED sites, and as long as you bookmark all the key wrecks, you can warp back to them individually after you are done the site and refit to a cloak. A Tengu is a really solid choice, but I have to agree with Tikk that you need more information and experience before you risk one on field. It is expensive, but it works for a wide range of PvE sites, choose the hardeners right and it can run every low sec PvE site, and most null ones.
There are very few angel sites that neut, and with good skills, the fit from that post is cap stable. Stepping down to a small booster isn't really necessary.
Pith X type explosives are dirt cheap, and provide much more tank than a passive amp. For the DED loadout, it really depends on what kinds of rats you'll be hunting. Focus your tank shield tank, for a Tengu towards the damage they project. Always bring a covops cloak and both the Covert Reconfiguration and Interdiction Nullifier subsystems for travel - with them, you can't be stopped by bubbles and can cloak immediately, even when you jump into a gatecamp.

While many players know relic and data sites to be very profitable in especially null security space, combat sites are a good source of income even in high security space and even more profitable in low and null security space. Combat sites are pockets in space filled with rats to shoot at.
This guide focuses on Combat anomaliescosmic signatures unrated and DED rated that are found in normal space. These sites normally contain faction named rats or structures that may contain faction or deadspace modules, faction blueprints and faction implants worth dozens or hundreds of millions of ISK.
With the "Into the Abyss" expansiona new type of combat sites was released.
This is the abyssal deadspace combat sites, which are entered through the use of filaments. While these are also technically combat sites, they are outside the scope of this article.
DED Site Information and Guides
Combat sites all involve combat. Unrated and DED rated complexes also need to be scanned with probes while combat anomalies can be found with no additional equipment. For combat you will want to train the skills for your weapon system of choice, tanking skills and general fitting skills. For probe scanning you should look at training AstrometricsAstrometric Rangefinding and Astrometric Pinpointing. Higher skill level will make scanning easier and faster but even at low levels you can scan down combat sites to run.
Competition for these combat sites can be very high so the faster you can find them and run them the less chance of another player finding your site and completing it before you do. The problem most new players to exploration encounter is that they require two ships: one for scanning down the site with probes such as a T1 scanning frigate or a Covert Ops ship and a combat ship for running the sites, typically a cruiser.
This means that the pilot has to change ship when they find the site which loses valuable time in which other players can find the site and run it.
The easiest way to solve the problem is to find a wingmate or more! Then you split the loot. If you assemble a larger fleet, you can even try using smaller ships, like Cruisers and T1 Logistic cruisers in harder low security sites, lowering the ISK and skill requirements even more. With higher skills and ISK investment you can jump into ships that are made to fill both roles at the same time, in particular the Sisters of Eve ships Astero and StratiosSociety of Conscious Thought ships Sunesis and Gnosis.
But with decent scanning skills even a hull with no scanning bonuses will be able to scan down combat sites without issues. When doing anything in EVE you will need to use the right ship for the right job. While selecting the hull and fit you should remember the following:. The Besieged Covert Research Facility is a much more difficult site than most other lowsec combat anomalies, and is generally best attempted using either a sniping battleship or a missile T3 Cruiser.
If you engage our forces, interfere with our task, or do anything else except leave immediately, we will have no choice but to attack you. The site will spawn two groups of randomly assorted Mordu's Legion ships. The cruisers and "Mordu's Legion Battleship" will warp disrupt and web. The "Mordu's Legion Commander" does not web or point but is very durable. Note that all the ships will be named "Mordu's Legion Battleships" regardless of ship type.
The battleship webs have a range of 22 km so they can be kited. The cruiser and battleship warp disruptors have a range of 36 km. The rats will deal all damage types, however they deal mostly Kinetic and minimal Explosive. All ships will target Large Drones, and will likely shoot them down but will not target smaller drones. As far the best damage type to deal, it's a mixed bag. However it's worth noting that all 3 ships have active shield reps.
As the Commanders are the most durable ships on field, if forced to bring only a single damage type or single drone typethe best single damage type to bring is Kinetic. After all ships are destroyed you can safely loot the two structures. The structures can be destroyed and looted before all ships are destroyed, but it may be preferred to focus all damage on the ships as their tackle can make it difficult both to get to the lab and to get out alive.
